For one day only jewelry from FULL CIRCLE ARTISANS will be on display for sale at North Star. As beautiful and colorful as the peoples of the earth, semi-precious stones are found around the globe. Natural symbols of wealth and power, these stones often become a source of conflict and exploitation. Full Circle Artisan jewelry and beads are designed and handcrafted by refugees who have fled from such conflict or other disasters and have found relative peace in other nations. Full Circle Artisans stones have come full circle and are now united as symbols of peace. By shopping you are creating peace for the refugees who create these wonderful and one-of-a-kind pieces.
The jewelry is made with semi-precious stones including Fresh Water Pearls, Afghan Lapis, Burmese Rubies, Quartz, Mother of Pearl, Tiger’s Eye, Jade, Red Sponge Coral, Lava Stone, Black Onyx, Citrine, and Amethyst, among others. Many of the pieces include hand-smithed Thai Silver. Styles include necklaces, earrings, and bracelets.
Twenty percent of revenues from the sale will go to North Star’s youth group. The youth will then be donating 10% of their proceeds to the children’s Heifer project. The remainder of our proceeds will be used to assist youth with the cost of attending youth events such as the WOW retreat in January, summer mission trips, and other events throughout the year.
